Ray2Fix (Rayman 2 Graphics & Input Fix) is a mod for Rayman 2: The Great Escape, created by spitfirex86.

Description:

Ray2Fix is a collection of patches and a configuration tool designed to simplify the setup of Rayman 2 and optimize the game for modern PCs.

Among other things, the project fixes frame rate drops and smoothness issues, and adds support for high widescreen resolutions and modern controllers. It also supports remapping controller buttons using the included configuration tool.

It also includes dgVoodoo 2, dinputto8, and Xidi, thereby increasing compatibility with modern PCs.

In practice, this single mod contains everything you need to comfortably play Rayman 2 today.

Game versions:

1. Recommended: The GOG.com version of the game installed using the standalone installer.
2. GOG Galaxy is not recommended, but should work as long as you do not let it overwrite the files after installing Ray2Fix.
3. Uplay/Ubisoft Connect is not officially supported, although several users have reported successfully using it with Ray2Fix. Try at your own risk.
4. Retail CD/DVD versions are not supported, as they use a different executable that includes DRM.

Guide:

1. Download the latest release zip and extract all files to the Rayman 2 installation directory.
2. Run R2FixCfg.exe and choose your preferred display settings in the General tab.
3. (Optional) Customize the controller layout in the Gamepad tab.

Controller troubleshooting:

1. Try a different controller backend in R2FixCfg > Input.
2. If using the SDL3 backend, make sure any other tools (such as DS4Windows) are disabled.
3. Make sure only one controller is plugged in (including virtual controllers).
