Zombie Mod is a modification for Rome: Total War, created by The Zombie Mod Group..

Description (in author’s own words):

Have you ever wondered why the majority of popular games have some sort of zombie mod for them (Counter-Strike Zombie Mod, TES4: Oblivion 28 days later and so on) and when it comes to everyone's favorite Rome: Total War, Google faints and has nothing sensible to respond to the request Rome Total War Zombie Mod? It is high time to deal with this problem!

We want to create a vision of the zombie Apocalypse on the RTW engine in the ancient period (ye! the Greeks, the Carthaginians and the barbarians against zombies!), to create a good mechanism for the spreading of the zombie-virus, infecting and destroying mankind [not just to add a zombie faction that will be able hire zombies].

Installation:

Non-steam players: Unpack the Zombie Mod archive directly to the Rome Total War folder (where the files RomeTW.exe and RomeTW-ALX.exe are located).

Steam players:

1) Unpack the Zombie Mod archive directly to the Rome Total War Alexander folder (where the file RomeTW-ALX.exe is located, usually Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander).

2) Go to Steam -> Steam Library -> Right Mouse Click on Rome Total War Alexander -> Settings -> Set launch options

3) Write this line in the launch options text field: -mod:ZombieMod -ne -nm - show_err

and save.

How to launch the mod

Non-steam players: To start Rome: Total War - Zombie Mod run the file Zombie Mod.bat in the Rome Total War folder.

Steam players: To start Rome: Total War - Zombie Mod run Rome Total War Alexander from Steam.
