A mod that gives a real performance boost and much better stability on all system

Key Feature: This mod reduces performance drops caused by Lumen. It allows you to enable Lumen without FPS drops, so you can enjoy the game’s lighting effects smoothly. The mod slightly downgrades shadow quality and draw distance, but it’s barely noticeable thanks to the game’s fog and lighting style. Screenshots above show the game running with Lumen enabled.

This is a .pak mod that tweaks the engine directly (not just a config file). It can give up to 30% performance boost while sacrificing very little visual quality. Works on all GPUs, including older 4GB cards, as well as handhelds like Steam Deck and ROG Ally.

Installation

Download and extract the ZIP.

Inside, you’ll find 7 files.

Copy all files into your Silent Hill F installation folder › SHF/Content/Paks/.

Launch the game and enjoy smoother frames!

This mod does not overwrite your in-game graphics settings, so you can still tweak visuals as you like. It works perfectly alongside mods like OptiScaler.

Credits

Originally inspired by the MGS Delta mod by ECLIPSE for Steam Deck. This version has been optimized for PC, maintaining quality while boosting performance. All credit goes to the original; this simply builds on their work.

Uninstall

Delete the files you copied into the Paks folder.
