Description:
This mod enhances the vanilla experience of Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition by upgrading the default AI castles without completely changing their original design and identity.
Key Features:
- Improved Castle Designs: All vanilla AI castles have been polished with better layouts, additional gatehouses, and refined structures that stay true to the original look and feel.
- Unique Lord Tweaks: Some AI lords now have slightly altered castle designs to better reflect their personality and strategy.
- Enhanced Defenses: Select lords, such as the Marshal and the Sheriff, now have extra defensive towers — for example, the Sheriff’s castle now includes at least one large tower equipped with a ballista.
- Smarter Siege Equipment Use: AI lords with towers capable of supporting mangonels or ballistas now actually use them — fixing one of the biggest shortcomings of the original game.
- Better Economy Flow: Quality-of-life improvements for certain lords — like Nizar’s people no longer having to walk across the entire map just to reach the stockpile.
- Unchanged Incompetents: The Rat and some others remain untouched... for now. They might receive updates in the future — but considering their legendary incompetence, who knows if they'll ever be worth it?
- This mod keeps the spirit of the original game intact while making battles more dynamic, castles more formidable, and the AI more competent (well, most of them).
