This is fan translation of The Bard's Tale - Tales of the Unknown, a 1990 NES RPG game. It was created by MetHy.
The game did get an official English-language version, but it was half the size of the Japanese original, so a mass of its content was cut. Among other things, 30 types of enemies and three bosses were removed. Also the locations and many visual elements were simplified.
Thanks to a fan translation, we can finally play the full version of this classic RPG.
You can apply the patch directly to the ROM file (for example, using Lunar IPS). Alternatively, you can simply run the game in an emulator. In the latter case, it is important that the .ips file with the translation has the same name as the rom file and is in the same folder.
