Description:
This mod replaces the Ridiculously Blood Pack DLC's effects with default blood effects from the vanilla game without altering any other content from the same archive (005_data.sga).
The “Ridiculously Bloody Blood Pack” DLC features extreme blood effects. It wasn't a bad as an option, but currently these exaggerated effects are enabled in all versions of the game, and this mod lets you turn them off.
To install:
01 - Copy this mod's 'GameAssets' folder into your Retribution game folder (where DOW2.exe is located), overwriting folders if prompted to.
02 - Create a shortcut file for Retribution's DOW2.exe by right-clicking it, then selecting 'Create Shortcut'. Skip this step if you already have a shortcut for the EXE.
03 - Right-click the shortcut for DOW2.exe and select 'Properties'.
04 - Add the '-dev' argument to the very end of the 'Target' field. Example:
--> "C:\Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II - Retribution\DOW2.exe" -nomovies -dev
You may also add this argument to the Steam version of the game by right-clicking the game on your Library page, selecting 'Properties' and, in the 'General' tab, including it in the 'Launch Options' field.
