Better Companions is a mod for Wars and Roses, created by aedenthorn.
Description:
Improves various things about battle companions, letting them carry more, take less damage, not take friendly fire, chatter less, and regenerate health over time.
This mod is an on-going collection of tweaks to your followers in battle.
It currently provides the following config variables:
- damageTakenMult (default: 0.5) Multiply all damage taken by companions by this amount
- minTimeBetweenRadio (default: 20) Min number of seconds between idle radio chatter. Vanilla is 15
- radioChancePerSecond (default: 20) Percent chance per second for radio chatter. Vanilla is 30
- noRadioWhileFollowing (default: true) No radio chatter while following player
- extraEquipmentSlots (default: true) Add 3 extra equipment slots beyond the vanilla 3
- healthRegenPerSecond (default: 1) Regen this many health per second until full
- disableFriendlyFire (default: true) Disable friendly fire
Technical
To install this mod, you will need BepInEx installed in Wars and Roses. You can use this installer to download and install the correct version:
Installling mods is simple – just copy the mod’s file (.dll or .json) into “„….\BepInEx\plugins” where your game is installed.
A config file BepInEx/config/aedenthorn.BetterCompanions.cfg is created after running the game once with this mod.
You can adjust the config values by editing this file using a text editor before starting the game.
