X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Game Mod - Wolverine Care Package v.1.0 - Download

Wolverine Care Package is a mod for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, created by thrive4.

Description (in author’s own words):

Wolverine all though tied in to the 2009 movie stands the test of time quite well. There are quite a number of nods to god of war in terms of gameplay never the less the combat is snappy and quite visceral.

Gameplay tweaks:

A relaxed camera plus pretty much god mode in WGame.ini

mCombatHeroUndying=True

mCombatVibration=False

mFreeCamWhenNotInCamVolume=True

Helix tweak contains:

- reduce feral sense fx

- reduce ambient bloom on environment and characters

Further a reshade tone map re-balances brightness plus removes a slight yellow tint and a 'poor mans form of tessellation' gives the assets (environment, etc) a bit of relief and more definition.

Also added smaa (so disable in game AA) ambient occlusion is forced on with nvida. Use the tweaked WEngine.ini for some additional visual / performance tweaks.

Instruction:

Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder ofwolverine (wolverine\binaries\), the folder which contains wolverine.exe with the exception of the folders 'optional' and 'orginal'.

The folder optional contains:

WGame.ini

WEngine.ini

If you want to use these gameplay tweaks copy thesefiles to:

c:\users\<username>\documents\Wolverine\WGame\Config\

note:

this will overwrite the existing files so it mightbe handy to make a backup of both files.

The folder original contains the original version of:

WGame.ini

Just in case use this to restore.

The following instructions are only needed

if you do not like using unverified dll's you can:

download helix from

http://helixmod.blogspot.com/

and place following file in the install dir of game

d3d9.dll

Note:

This package contains a 'd3d9.dll.hxdb' this is the debug version which allows shaders to be found in game, usage rename d3d9.dll to d3d9.dll.o then rename d3d9.dll.hxdb to d3d9.dll and in some cases

set UseEndScene = false to UseEndScene = true in the dx9settings.ini
