Yakuza 0: HD Font is a mod for Yakuza 0, created by Beepin.

Description (in author’s own words):

Replaces the mainly-used font in the game with a high-resolution edit.

This mod replaces the main font used in the game for an edited, higher-resolution (400%), font. It mainly changes dialogue and menu text.

Installation:

This mod contains one file that overwrites an original game file. You can find it under "Steam\steamapps\common\Yakuza 0\media\data\fontpar" as "font.par". Replace the original "font.par" with this mod's "font.par".

NOTES

It is highly recommended that you back up the original file that this mod replaces (just save the original file as "font-copy.par"). It is also recommended that you run your game first, THEN replace the file to ensure the best compatibility (I believe Denuvo has something to do with this... I'm not sure).

The outline for text seems to be stuck at a lower resolution, but all it adds is a faint shadowing around the text.

QUESTIONS:

"My game won't load, it hangs on a black screen when I launch after I installed this mod."

Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Yakuza 0\media" and delete "libgsa.dll" and "steamapi64.dll". Also delete the mod from your game folders. Run Steam's "Verify Integrity of Game Files..." tool and wait for it to detect/redownload the missing files. Run the game. Exit. Then re-install the mod. It should work.

"Why is there a faint gradient on the text?"

My own personal preference.

"Will this work on any resolution?"

This mod is a resolution-scaled edit. It should work fine for 4K displays, but I didn't plan for anything higher than that.

"Other fonts still look low resolution..."

I only edited one font.
