A 688 class nuclear submarine simulator, named after the famous political fiction writer Tom Clancy. In the game we take part in a fictitious conflict over Spratly Islands taking place in the South China Sea. Unlike other advanced simulators, SSN offers a simplified gameplay model, which is designed for less experienced players.

Tom Clancy SSN is a class 688 atomic submarine simulator, prepared according to the script of one of the most widely read contemporary writers specializing in the genre of political fiction. The game was created in Clancy Interactive Entertainment studios, created by Clancy himself to produce video games branded with his name. Tom Clancy's SSN also refers to the popular board game, released in 1975 by Game Designer's Workshop, which was the first attempt to create an entertaining simulation of a conflict involving submarines.

In this game we take command of the USS Cheyenne ship (SSN-773) to take part in a fictional war with the People's Republic of China. Warfare is taking place in the South China Sea, close to the Spratly Islands, which are the subject of dispute between China, Vietnam and Taiwan. Implemented in the game, the campaign consists of 15 extensive missions, during which not only other submarines, but also powerful cruisers and destroyers of the enemy will stand in our way. Our tasks will include patrolling the terrain, escorting convoys and, of course, direct battles with the enemy fleet.
