Baldur's Gate 3 Gets NSFW Mod, Fans Excited About SFW Stuff More

The priorities of Baldur's Gate 3 players can surprise you. And they're not as indecent as you might think.

Baldur's Gate 3 will be six-months-old soon, but the modding community still manages to surprise. In recent weeks, modifications introducing weapons straight from Call of Duty into the fantasy world have been a hit -- and judging by the positive response, rifles and rocket launchers were something that players wanted.

But one mod will not satisfy all needs. Some people still miss the closeness with their romantic partners, and I'm not talking about love affairs here.

So prurient even Halsin disagrees

Some time ago, fans of all kinds of mods to BG3 received modifications similar to the infamous Wicked Whims, which could itself increase the age rating of The Sims. The current version of the project diversifies the protagonist's love life to the level known from Wattpad's bestsellers.

Therefore, some people may feel surprised to learn that the original idea for the mod was completely different. At least that's what the player quoted by user BardMessenger24 claims on the Reddit thread.

The person who made this mod said they actually started with a kiss, hug, and hand holding action, but got sidetracked by the sex request. They'll be adding in all the SFW actions eventually too.

Believe it or not, the vision of delicate tenderness pleased fans more than camp obscenities among companions. Although developers from Larian Studios are constantly improving Baldur, some players are still missing small details that may come with fixes to the described mod.

"BG3 fans literally only want one thing and it's f***ing disgusting"

What BG3 fans want:

wait wait wait can we eventually have everyone in the party hold hands and walk together hand in hand, like a cheesy scene in a movie???

Fixing bugs in a charming way?

Another reason why players want such a modification to appear (apart from recreating nice moments with their companions) is to fix bugs that appeared with subsequent updates. We're talking here about camp animations of kisses -- for example, Astarion often has problems with shorter characters. Stealing a kiss from Shadowheart, on the other hand, can recolor her hair.

I feel like with every patch, we take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. A whole bunch of companions like Halsin and Karlach got new updated kiss animations, but Astarion's and Shadowheart's got bugged out if you were a different body type.

It's worth mentioning that all these animations worked flawlessly in the original version of the game. It's hard to say when Larian will find the time to fix them -- that's why players prefer to use mods.
