Hellcard Beginner's Guide - Tips and Tricks

HELLCARD is an addictive and in sometimes difficult game. Thanks to this guide you will learn useful tips for getting started.

HELLCARD is a title that combines a card game and roguelike. In the game, we choose one of the character classes and fight against opponents using the available cards. The title relies heavily on a strategic approach to clashes and can be quite difficult. Here you will learn basic tips, which will certainly make the gameplay a little easier for you..

HELLCARD - Tips and Tricks

  1. As a Warrior at the beginning of the game, you have access to the Mighty Blow card. Make sure to upgrade it as soon as possible. This will give you Fury, which in turn can be easily upgraded to a higher level, thus gaining a very good battle card called Mighty Weaponry.
  2. If you play as a Mage or Rogue, at some point you will be able to use the cards Freeze and Stun. With these you will be able to stop your opponent's action for a certain period of time, thus making the battle easier for yourself.
  3. Frequently check if the cards you own have a further upgrade path. This way you will be able to plan early on what kind of deck build you want to create.
  4. If you are fighting a larger group of opponents in the first stages, get rid of those who have attack planned at the beginning. However, as time goes by, there will be more and more opponents, and some of them focus on casting buffs on the other enemies. In that case it's a good idea to defeat them before they strengthen the remaining rivals.
  5. When playing in co-op, it is worth combining Rogue or Mage with Warrior, as this is a class that typically focuses on dealing damage. Thus, the Rogue can control opponents, for example, using the Stun card and Mage with Freeze, while Warrior will then attack them.
  6. Upgrading cards almost always pays off more than choosing artifacts. For this reason, it is better to focus on your deck and enhance it as early as possible.
  7. If you are just starting out with HELLCARD and want to learn the mechanics on your own, it is worth choosing Warrior, as it is great for first levels of the game.

The future of HELLCARD

The game is currently in early access, which means that the developers are working on it all the time. Over time, new mechanics may appear in the game, so it's worth looking into it regularly to stay up to date.
