We have good news for fans of elaborate economic strategies. Toplitz Productions has just announced Industry Giant 4.0, the latest installment of a series developed since 1997. The project is being developed by German studio Don VS Dodo.
Action of Industry Giant 4.0 will begin in the 1950s. According to the title, in the game we will build our own industrial empire in the times of the fourth industrial revolution, so elements such as digitalization and automation will play a key role.
When starting the game, we will define the philosophy of our company. This will affect events in the game world, the methods of operation and marketing made available to the player, as well as taxes and the loans we are given. In Industry Giant 4.0 we will find 25 industrial activities, including mines and farms, producing some 60 goods, including both raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
And where does Industry Giant 3 stand?
The previous installment of the series is Industry Giant II from 2002. The third installment was to be Industry Giant: The Big Departure, but that project was scrapped. The publisher felt there was no point in revisiting this failure, and so the latest game from the brand is titled Industry Giant 4.0.
We will transport goods by trucks, trains and ships. The player will be given the ability to build roads and tracks and create freight schedules. There will also be a rich selection of city buildings, including stores.
Our business will be influenced by the seasons, determining, for example, demand or availability of certain raw materials. Also, the passage of years will affect the game world. In addition, the game is to be enriched by various events - both random and those based on historical facts.
Finally, it is worth quoting the game's system requirements.
The devs only put the minimum requirements on the Steam tab, but they are so high that we wonder if they made a mistake - the above configuration looks more like the recommended one.
