Welcome to the Nation, the safest place on Earth.

Welcome, Citizen, and congratulations, for you have been chosen to become Orwell’s first human researcher. What it means, is that you are hereby allowed to undertake the task of investigating other citizens’ digital lives, and keeping the information they provide via social media under constant surveillance. Using point-and-click mechanics (and doing so in a Papers, Please-ish manner), Orwell will grant you access to every chat, personal email, or hard drive of your choice. You are to investigate them, and monitor any suspicious activity in order to get all the information needed to prevent any act of terrorism that could frighten the Nation’s residents. Please get familiar with a video tutorial provided below.

You are now kindly requested to continue performing any tasks you were performing so far, and note that your skills will be put to the test in late 2016. Should any further information be required, please reach out to the official Orwell Program website, or get in touch with our assistant. Thank you for your cooperation. Remember – the Nation’s security and well-being is at stake, and everyone is counting on you. Have a nice day.
