Ravendawn, an MMORPG comparable in its atmosphere to the much-loved Tibia, was released a few days ago. Curious players had to deal with massive queues, forcing developers to urgently create new servers - and this is just the first week.

Ravendawn is a fresh new game with secrets waiting to be discovered. This article is a collection of all the advice for beginners, especially those lost in an unfamiliar world.

Beginnings in Ravendawn

We start our adventure in Ravendawn by creating a character. What may be new here may be archetypes with different skill sets, which are the equivalent of classes in other RPG games. For example, the Protection archetype will be perfect for a support, and Witchcraft - for a mage. On levels 7 and 15 we can choose additional archetypes.

Abilities can be modified using Raven cards. You will acquire them by completing quests, searching chests, and defeating monsters encountered along the way. The rarer the card, the better the upgrades. Artifacts are another type of collectible - they unlock new locations.

Ravendawn isn't just about fighting and exploring, though. Professions are everyday skills such as carpentry or cooking. They are used to produce equipment and supplies with collected resources, without the need to use the services of NPCs. Investing in professions will be especially useful if you plan to buy a property in the game world.

Before you start playing, you can also invest in a Patron. This is a subscription offering a range of bonuses, from cosmetic changes to additional missions. The purchase does not affect the main campaign and is completely voluntary.

Traveling in Ravendawn

The game allows you to travel on foot or a mount, but you must take care of the animal. Feeding mounts generates huge costs for players starting their adventure, which is why it's worth spending the first few levels on foot exploring the world. Patience and regularity when caring for your mount will guarantee you additional benefits.

Of course, there is also the option to fast travel in Ravendawn. All we need to do is discover a certain location on the map.

Reputation and penalties upon death

Reputation is the attitude of the three main factions towards our character. We are talking here about factions of order, mercenaries, and criminals. A high reputation with a given group will reward us with various benefits, including trade and crafting. You will build up your reputation by choosing the right dialogue options and by completing missions for that faction.

Ravendawn is not a game without consequences. Death in the game results in a loss of experience and silver, and to remove it you only need to pay a certain amount - if you have anything left. Fortunately for beginners, this mechanic only becomes active after level 20, i.e. at a relatively late stage.

All information comes from The Tank Club channel, which has prepared extensive and substantive material on the basics of Ravendawn. If you need more information about the presented world, check out the video below.
