Miniboss and Chaotic Running on Strange Gameplay From Redfall

Bethesda is heating up the atmosphere ahead of Redfall's May release. This time a gameplay focusing on the game's cooperative mode has hit the web. However, the footage evokes mixed feelings from viewers.

We are less than a month away from the release of Redfall. So it's not surprising that lately we've been regularly receiving new materials related to the game of Arkane and Bethesda. This time it's time for gameplay showing cooperative mode. Below you can take a look at the video.

Chaotic boredom?

Made available on IGN's channel, the video shows a team of several players in a clash with one of the minor bosses - The Rook. The players are held back from efficiently defeating the opponent by mooks and... their own clumsiness. This is because the testers display an extremely chaotic way of fighting the bloodthirsty vampires, which may discourage viewers rather than convince them to buy the game.

Other viewers also have similar thoughts on the subject. On the subreddit dedicated to Redfall there is no shortage of critical comments. What's more, the gameplay has provoked the community to conclude that the game is simply boring and monotonous. Here are some sample opinions:

"Are these testers just terrible at video games? Or maybe the game just looks boring," asks sheetskees.

"They just run around and use weapons that look like they stun instead of dealing damage," points out manhachuvosa.

"Well, this is the video that drove the nail in the game's coffin," concludes A-Rusty-Cow.

Will Redfall really turn out to be as boring as the players claim? We'll find out on May 2, which is when the game is to be released. The game is headed for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The title will simultaneously be available as part of Game Pass - both on PC and the aforementioned consoles.
