Here you can read how to upgrade weapons in The Serpent Rogue. You will learn the basic ingredients and things that can be upgraded, you will find out why Spectral Fuel is important in enhancing, and whether it is worth to upgrade weapons and tools.

You can upgrade tools, weapons and amulets. To start enhancing, go to the forge and select the Enhance option. A new window will appear where you first select an item to enhance, then a potion ingredient - essence - that will serve as a upgrade.

This way you can, for example, increase the attack power or the behavior of the weapon. You need Spectral Fuel for each upgrade. You will find them in large numbers in the maze in the north of Wasteland. Because of that, enhancing is available only after healing the tree during The Corrupted Land mission.

When it comes to weapons, you can upgrade both swords and tools. In this case, it is worth using an ax or a shovel: you will get the same attack power, and you can always cut down a tree/dig up a treasure. In addition, the tools weigh less than the sword.

In fact, the game doesn't offer a lot regarding the enhancing. However, it is worth considering upgrading amulets and rings to change their strength or how they work. Virtue Ring can protect you from various debuffs, while Claw Amulet can give you 20 points of damage after enhancing the Claw.
