Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

A remake of the classic 8-bit platform game Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, originally released in 1989, developed by Lizardcube. You play as the eponymous hero, who has to kill a dragon lurking in a cave. Unfortunately, by fulfilling his task he brings upon himself a mysterious curse, which transforms him into a humanoid lizard, and his new objective is to get rid of the spell.

A unique platform game by the Polish studio Robot Gentleman Studio, developed using filmed scenes featuring actors and animals. In Stray you play as a dog, which got lost in a forest and is trying to find its way home. On its way, he has to face many dangers, such as predators or hunters. The gameplay focuses on exploring the forest, avoiding obstacles and traps, and surviving in the hostile territory. To succeed, you have to properly use the dog's instincts and senses.

Yoshi is a classic platformer with side view, with our hero running, jumping and throwing eggs at enemies or environmental objects.

Dark Devotion is a two-dimensional action game by French team Hibernian Workshop. Production takes us to the gloomy fantasy land, ruled by omnipotent church. Players control the warrior trained by the religious order, sent on a mission to purify the cursed temple. During the game we deal mainly with exploration, solving puzzles and most of all fighting. Skirmishes are played at a slow pace, requiring the right timing of attacks and effective anticipation of enemies' movements.

Secrets Of The Maw is divided into three episodes, in which we follow a completely new hero, a boy named The Runaway Kid who tries to escape an underwater facility, the eponymous Maw. While playing, we discover dark secrets of this place and learn answers to a number of questions that remained unanswered after the adventures of Six from the basic game have ended.

Unto the End is an action platform game developed by 2 Ton Studios, which takes us to the fantasy land inspired by Norse mythology. Production allows you to play as a Viking, whose family was murdered by a powerful beast. The plot revolves around attempts to take revenge on this monster. Both graphics and game mechanics are two-dimensional. During the gameplay we have to push to the right side of the screen, avoid traps and solve occasional puzzles.

The main characters, a mechanic called Bart and his granddaughter Clu, declare a war on the Empire – in order to end its hegemony they embark on a journey to find a legendary weapon called the Aegis.

The game is set in a fantasy version of ancient China, where historically accurate elements where combined with legends and beliefs of that period. We play as a warrior who, as a result of the machinations of a mysterious organization, was turned into a mindless killing machine with the help of an ancient artifact.

The plot draws inspiration from the history and legends of many European countries, mostly Spain. One day, an evil demon uses tears of a young witch to open gates of hell and let different kinds of filth in. The player assumes the role of Don Ramiro – one of the faithful knights in service of Alfonso VI, uniting to travel the lands of Tolomera and bring back peace and order.

Distinguished by an interesting style and binding, combining two-dimensional backgrounds and three-dimensional character models, side-scrolled platformer. The hero of the game is a young musician, who stands up to fight with the ruler of hell.
Runner3

Another entry in the BIT.TRIP series – 2D auto runner platformers – developed by Gaijin Entertainment. The plot of Runner3 is a continuation of the adventures of CommenderVideo, the hero from the previous games. The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles but there are a few new features and improvements which are the result of community feedback.

Side-scroll platformer, in which the player takes on the role of a boy with pink hair, trying to catch the bad guinea pigs. These stole the hero's grandfather's bracelet and contaminated the protagonist's idyllic house. The main character can jump, grab and throw objects. Although Tombi only moves in two dimensions for most of the time, at certain moments he is able to change the plane and, for example, move deep into the screen.

An old-school two-dimensional platformer with elements of stealth. It was created by Hopoo Games, a studio known for Risk of Rain. In the game, the player becomes an embodiment of death itself, coming to Earth to stop an undead invasion. Both the sides of the conflict are a bit unusual, because the Grim Reaper uses knives and firearms instead of a scythe, and as for the undead, they are overly watchful and intelligent - they can even wield pistols and rifles.
