Sniper Elite 5 Launches; New Content Inbound [UPDATED]
Today marks the release of Rebellion's new game - Sniper Elite 5. The developer is striking iron while it's hot and releasing an expansion for the game, while working on further DLCs.
Update
For unclear reasons Epic Games Store has withdrawn Sniper Elite 5 from sale. This was announced on Rebellion's official website. According to the developer, people who pre-ordered the game through Epic store, can apply for a refund. Perhaps the game will appear again soon, but the date of its possible return to the store is not known.
Original message
Starting today, players around the world have the opportunity to once again take on the role of sniper Karl Fairburne, bravely massacring hundreds of enemies on the front lines of World War II. The next work of Rebellion hit the PC and consoles - from PS4 and XONE through PC and ending on current-gen platforms (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S)..
Issues
Unfortunately, due to the fact that the game has just appeared on the market, it still suffers from "teething problems". As Rebellion informed on the game's Twitter account, the development team is currently working on fixing an issue that is affecting players trying to access Sniper Elite 5 via the Microsoft Store.
Users who decided to download the digital version via the Microsoft Store are probably feeling disappointed by such turn of events. However, considering how Rebellion cares about its players, this problem will probably be solved quickly.
As an interesting note, it is worth mentioning that according to charts published on SteamDB, the PC version of the shooter is currently played by about 8500 people on Valve's platform. The number of users is steadily growing. As for the reviews, we recommend you to read our yesterday's news, in which we took up this topic.
Additional attractions
Although the game's release has just taken place, the new Sniper Elite has already received its first DLC: Target Führer - Wolf Mountain, enriching the story of the American commando.
Fans of the series will probably also be pleased to know that the external studio Flix Interactive, which worked with Rebellion on the creation of Sniper Elite 5, announced via Twitter that they are working on more DLCs for the fifth installment of the shooter.
If you're still not convinced about the latest work by Rebellion, perhaps the trailer below will dispel your doubts.
