American Truck Simulator: Overtaking; indicators

On a highway it is not a problem to overtake someone when you have two or three lanes available. But on a narrow roads this may be more problematic. Remember, you need a lot of space and time to overtake someone.

You risk a lot when you start the maneuver with a limited field of vision. When you finish the maneuver pay attention to trailer as it may hit the vehicle behind you. When you start overtaking check the left mirror as cars like to overtake trucks.

Indicators

Most vehicles in the USA has red indicator lights (shown on the screen). It might be something new for Europeans and a small impediment during the first hours of the game. They should observe the back of the vehicle in front of them so that they notice the turning maneuver in time and not cause an accident.
