Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Supply Drops in Blackout Mode

Supply drops appear once for every time that the play area shrinks; they will often drop near the centre of the new safe zone.

Every time that the play area shrinks in the Blackout mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, a supply drop will take place. This is announced by a radio message, which is directed to all players. The exact location of the drop is never known before the actual drop happens. Turn your eyes to the plane flying from outside of the zone and wait for the moment in which the supply crate will be dropped from the cargo hold.

A few of the crates which are dropped from a plane can sometimes be found scattered throughout the map.

After landing, red smoke from a flare will rise over the crate, which makes it easier to pinpoint its exact location. Supply crates are a real treat for players, especially those who are poorly equipped or fighting for victory. They usually contain valuable weapons and a rich arsenal of equipment. However, there can be exceptions - sometimes their contents can be very poor.

1. Use the crates as traps for greedy players. Remember, however, that others will usually try to do the same.
2. To collect the contents of the crate, check the area carefully in search of an ambush; optionally you can use a smoke grenade or a vehicle that will serve as a barricade.
3. Collecting the contents of the crate is not signalled in any way, as opposed to mystery boxes.

You can also find a Note from Torque in the supply crates - it will allow you to unlock this character, provided that you finish the game in the top 7 and deploy two razor wires and one barricade over the course of the game.
