Aim at the tentacles
Use the weapon you got from the stranger in the pyramid and aim at the monster's tentacles.
Use the ladder to jam the beast's jaw
At some point you need to let the monster catch you. While facing him eye to eye, use the ladder on him. Now aim the beam at Mog Chothra's mouth. If you can hit him, the enemy is defeated.
