Realism Mod is a mod for Kingdcom Come: Deliverance, created by Memer_Lemur.
Description (in authorís own words):
Realism mod which changes Armour penetration mechanics, armour values, damage and damage scaling into the higher levels, and unlocks the use of halberds and shields as weapons The aim of this mod is to make fighting as realistic as possible.
>change armour to realistic levels
Plate is realistically strong now. Even the best bows will have a tough time penetrating at medium -long ranges.
Sword slashes wont penetrate chainmail and plate, but some thrusts might. You'll be forced to aim for unarmoured parts.
Maces and axes will be your best bet against armour. Again these wont penetrate armour but I increased the 'Knock unconscious' threshhold so Bonking armoured guys on the head until they drop unconscious will be a thing now.
>Some tweaking to weapon damage
In short, I massively nerfed the retarded damage scaling your level and skills give you. No more one shotting knights through the helmet with swords once you reach level 12.
>Change to movement and combat spacing (including AI combat behaviour)
No more AI facehugging you. If you advance towards the AI, they will try to back up. if you back up, the AI will advance.
In short, the AI will try to maintain a realistic distance between himself and you whilst fighting. AI Will also get perfect parries and Master strikes way less often than vanilla. Only high tier knights, bandits and cuman captains can reliably get perfect parries and master strikes
>some arrow changes
As said, arrows are changed to penetrate things realistically.
For example, It is common for arrows to penetrate things like chainmail, but not always penetrate the gamberson or arming doublet under it. Full armoured knights in plate will be almost unkillable by bows unless you are close range and aiming for weakpoints. The strongest of longbows and best arrows sometimes can penetrate plate, but not always the shit under it.
I also changed the speed and drop of arrows to be a bit more realistic.
