Rolling Thunder is the second official expansion of the popular real-time strategy (RTS) with embedded action during World War II, Fri. Blitzkrieg, whose market debut took place in mid-2003. Unlike other publications of this type, discussed the addition does not require you to have installed the original version and is sold as a fully stand-alone product.
Like the first add-on (bearing the subtitle Burning Horizon), Rolling Thunder provides players to transition the campaign, consisting of 18 complex scenarios. Subsequent activities are connected with the notorious US Army 3. General George S. Pattona. Military action will cover North Africa, Sicily (Operation Husky, the opening of the southern front in Europe in 1943), the Allied landing in Normandy (struggle on Omaha Beach) and armored German counteroffensive in the Ardennes. Furthermore, the addition of loose 8 offers dedicated single player scenarios and several new types of units that can be effectively used during the clashes.
Note: Demo in German language. It contains trazy missions from the campaign "Pattons Challenge".
