Far Cry 2: Redux is a mod for Far Cry 2, created by BigTinz.
Description:
The "Special" version of Hunter's Far Cry 2 update has now been finished, and has branched off as a separate release. Far Cry 2: Redux is a massive overhaul of Far Cry 2. This includes all bug fixes from the update, and much more.
Return of the Jackal tapes! - All tapes have been restored
Predecessor tapes built in! - Pre-Order missions included
Bouncing NPC bug fixed! - Framerate internally capped at 60fps
No blinking items! - Items in the world and icons on the map no longer blink
Dynamic enemy AI! - New AI allows for NPC clashes, more verbal and aggressive enemies
Infamous heal animations restored! - Infamous healing bug fixed
Better ballistics! - Weapons have more accurate range and damage
Better weapon variety! - Enemies now have a larger arsenal, and can throw molotovs
Accurate magazine sizes! - 7.62x51 rifles now have 20 round mags, Spas 12 holds 9, etc.
Custom overhauled map system! - Player location removed from the map, map icons no longer blink, new hand drawn map icons
Steam, GOG, and Retail support! - Far Cry 2: Redux supports all Fortune's Edition versions of Far Cry 2
Install:
Backup your patch.dat, patch.fat, and Dunia.dll files.
Extract the folders from this mod into your Far Cry 2 install directory
Recommended:
Follow the PCGW instructions to disable Depth of Field and enhance graphics
Add -GameProfile_SkipIntroMovies 1 to your launch options
Use reshade to make your own personalized graphic mod
