The Thing is a mod for Duke Nukem 3D, created by Forsete.
Description (in author’s own words):
The Thing is a homage to the... well, sci-fi horror film named "The Thing" by John Carpenter released in 1982.
Don't expect any riveting combat here. This is more or less just a dedication to the film.
You're supposed to find 9 switches found throughout the base. Hit all of them and the entrance to the underground tunnel will open. A scripted sequence should activate when you approach the blood-stained box located in the large storage room (won't make sense unless you've watched the movie though).
This mod requires EDuke32. For installation Instructions consult the included readme me file.
