Wars of the North is a vanilla friendly mod for ROTWK patch 2.02 wichs add Rohan and Arnor into the game and restore many cut features. Changes for the existing factions are also part of the project. 2 new gametypes are also playable: Classic BFME1 and Capture Many bug fixes are also included, I have gone through almost all files to fix all the errors, minor or major, i could find to give you the best experience possible.

Multiplayer balance for the new content and edits (as a patch 2.02 dev this is rly important to me)

Tons of bug fixes and restoration of unused content

BFME1 Gametype playable on specific maps with a * at the end of their name (Dwarves and Elves not playable yet, Random work, Multiplayer only)

New Capture (KOTH like) gametype (only aviable for now on a special version of the Udun map) based on the gametype of the same name from the 2003 War of the Ring RTS

Harder campaign

Mini Heroes hordes were removed

To install:

You need rotwk patch 2.02, this mod use the -mod system and so does not affect your game folder (no compatibility problems)

Extract the WARS_OF_THE_NORTH folder at the root of your hard drive, for me it's C:\

then make a copy of your game shortcut, go into proprieties and change the content of the "Target" line to "Installation path of your game\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod"C:\WARS_OF_THE_NORTH"

then your shortcut will be ready and you can start the mod with it

(if you update from older version, just replace the existing folder with the new one)
