Immersive Portals changes the way Minecraft renders portals to other dimensions for a more immersive feel.

FEATURES:

Real Time Rendering

As you can see portals are rendered in real time allowing players to cross freely between the overworld and portal dimension seamlessly with no load screens

Spatial Transformation

Portals can have spatial transformation applied to them using commands.

Scale Transformation

Portals can also have scale transformation applied to them using commands.

Custom Portals

Custom portals can also be built using Portal Helper blocks.

Nether Portals

Portals can now be constructed with non-standard shapes and orientations.

Immersive Nether Portals can be configured with 3 modes.

Vanilla: This maintains normal Vanilla Minecraft functionality.

Normal: A portal can only link to another portal frame that has the exact same shape and orientation as the parent portal.

Adaptive: Portals can link to any other portal that has a rotation or scale transformation applied.

End Portals

End Portals must still be built horizontally this is a restriction of the game engine it self.

End Portal Modes

Immersive End Portals can be configured with 4 modes.

Vanilla: This maintains normal Vanilla Minecraft functionality.

Normal: This spawns the player at [0, 120, 0] in the End Dimension. Given that this is quite far above ground the player will be given slowfall for 6 seconds except when they are wearing Elytra.

ToObsidianPlatform: This provides a portal directly to an obsidian platform allowing the player passage to an End Island.

ScaledView: This shows an overlook of the entire end island and consists of 6 different portals with various scale transformations. This portal causes quite a bit of lag.

Mirrors

Glass walls can be turned into mirrors with Flint and Steel. Mirrors are 1 face and can be seen through the opposite face unless the opposite face is also turned into a mirror.

Installation:

1) Install Minecraft Forge for the target version of Minecraft (ie 1.15.2)

2) Add the Immersive Portals d mod jar to your profile's mods folder
