CoD4 Conquest Factions is a mod for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, created by  Spi-Hamentsios10.

Description:

Conquest Mode is a SINGLEPLAYER Custom Game Mode, created with the official Call of Duty 4 Mod Tools.

It is a combination of Multiplayer modes Domination from Call of Duty and

Conquest from Battlefield games only on Singleplayer with NPCs/Bots.

The purpose is to simulate the classic old school Battlefield Conquest mode that we could play offline with bots.

Factions:

Conquest Factions is a new Conquest Mode mod iteration that uses Conquest Mode mechanics

to create a system where player can chose a faction to fight against another faction.

There are 12 total factions included in this mod.

Each faction has one set of character and NPC models as well as one weapon class corresponding to its era.

It would take too much to create separate classes with various weapon combinations for all 12 factions.

The player can pick any of the 12 factions to fight against any of the remaining 11.

Class limitations may lead to a more simplistic and monotone version of conquest,

however the faction variations make it interesting to explore nontheless.

What is Conquest Mode and how is it played?

The game mode is easy.

The maps have control-points or flags scattered in them.

There are two teams in each map. Each team starts with one flag which works as a spawn point.

Bots and player can capture flags. To capture a flag, simply go close to it

until you are inside its capture radius and wait until the capture bar fills.

Both teams have points that work as remaining spawn points for both player and AI.

When a team member dies, either player or AI, one team point is reduced.

If all team points are depleted, bots can't respawn. The player can spawn regardless for gameplay convenience.

If a team captures all flags while all of the opposing team is dead or if the enemy points are depleted, they win.

I've implemented a custom menu that allows you to chose a map, and match settings to play however you like.

In the maps menu, you can find some match settings.

These match settings allow you to set up matches in the map you chose with your own combination of settings.

These settings are:

Match Time 5,10,15,20,25,30 minutes, or Unlimited.

Team Points 100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,1000.

Max Team Bots from 1 to 15.

Important note:

If you are in the spawn selection and your team has no remaining flags, you wont be able to spawn

and you will be stuck in the menu. Pressing escape to quit won't work because you are already in a scripted menu.

So please be patient and wait for the enemy team to win so you can quit properly.

Known Bugs About Factions Mode:

There are various minor visual bugs carried over from Conquest mode,

but in the case of Factions there is one significant visual bug on the viewhands

when player choses a certain faction, and picks up the weapon of another certain faction.

I won't make it specific to avoid purposely finding and showing the bug.

INSTALL

It is required that you have a stable and fully working Call of Duty 4 Instalation.

READ THIS IMPORTANT STEP!:

If you have a non-English COD4 game, open zone folder that came with this download

and rename it to the language that your COD4 game is set.

To find the correct name, go to your COD4 folder, open zone,

and the language name you read there is the name you need to rename

the english folder that came with this download.

If you have an English game version, then ignore the previous step and move on.

1) Copy folders mods, main, zone the file cq_factions.cmd and the icon image

that came with this download and paste them in your COD4 Game directory.

2) Run cq_factions.cmd from COD4 directory to run COD4 SP with the mod.

3) There is a custom menu that allows you to play the mod.

It is suggested that you create a desktop shortcut of cq_factions.cmd

and assign the conquest icon i provided to make it look like it's a new game.
