Stalingrad 42 is a mod for Company of Heroes, created by Halftrack

Opis:

"Stalingrad 42" is a submod for "Eastern Front". As the name might imply, it focuses on the brutal struggle over the city of Stalingrad, from the Summer of 1942 to the capitulation of the pocket in February 1943. S42 adds realistic weapon stats, realistic gameplay ( like fuel and ammo consumption ) and historical units to the game, while it mostly removes the teching and upgrade aspect. The Mod also features unique summer and winter maps and skins, adds some more units to the soviet factions ( like early T-34, BA-10 or T-26 )and supplies the germans with units like Flakpanzer I, early StuG IIIs or StuIG 33

80 years ago, Operation Uranus succeeded.

Both arms of the soviet attack against the axis flanks met near Kalach, the 6th Army was encircled.

This was the prelude to the last phase of the deadly struggle for the city. The Germans were took by

surprise and relief attempts failed. The trapped german troops held out for more than two more months before finally surrendering.

So what will this mod be like?

Historically correct -

1. You can only use units which evidently took part part in the battle.
2. Which are quite a lot infact - so we added many new vehicle models. Not all, though. Yet.
3. 20 maps, partially based on Eastern Front Mod maps.
4. Maps with appropriate summer & winter skins for the units.
5. Also weather dependent unit speed and sight range.
6. Map dependant resources - Germans in the Stalingrad pocket receive less income, but supply drops instead.
7. Map dependant units. Like the StuIG 33, which was only used in the city of Stalingrad and the relief attempt "Operation Wintergewitter".
8. Doctrine based units. For example, land-leased tanks like Stuart, Valentine or the M3 Lee.
9. Broad unit variety for both parties.
10. As a Bonus: 4 Leningrad Front scenarios with exlcusive call-in units: Tiger I Ausf.H and KV-2.

Attention to detail -

1. HD Skins and a lot of model details for Infantry.
2. Completely new vehicle textures
3. Correctes vehicle versions and only achievable upgrades.
4. A lot of old CoH and EF models also have been overhauled for more historical accuracy.
5. HD Environment textures by XFX.

More Realism:

1. Correct squad sizes and composition.
2. Realistic unit speeds and turret rotation values
3. Realistic weapon penetration values and damage.
4. Just a few upgrades - that are only possible in the HQ area.
5. Expanded criticals. Light weapons can hurt exposed crews, damage tires or even tracks.
6. Much larger weapon range than in original CoH
7. Units consume fuel and ammo based on real life values which must be refilled.
8. Crews repair their vehicles by themselves if possible.
9. Guns can be towed by trucks
10. Troop surrendering of course.

Installation

1) If you haven't already, you need to install Eastern Front Mod via Steam

2) Find your Company of Heroes Folder on your PC. Usually its located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch

3) Unzip the contents of "Your_CoH_Folder" into.. your Company of Heroes Folder. So the final path for the S42 Folder is: ( usually )

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\S42

4) Unzip the S42.ink shortcut to your desktop.

5) You should now be able to start the mod by using the shortcut.
