Dreams to Reality - Game Mod - Community Patch v.4.1 - Download

Community Patch is a mod for Dreams to Reality, created by markritchie.

Description:

Makes Cryo's Dreams to Reality (1997, Windows CD version) run on Windows 10 and 11, fixes its crashes and texture bugs, and adds an optional Remastered renderer. Press F11 in game to switch between Remastered and the original Classic graphics at any time.

Features

- Runs on Windows 10/11 (DirectDraw via dgVoodoo 2), from any folder, with no disc needed while playing (both discs are copied to the hard drive)

- Remastered renderer: 3D drawn by the graphics card at your screen resolution, anti-aliasing, smooth mipmapped textures, sharp HUD scaling and widescreen support

- Classic mode keeps the original software renderer, switchable in game with F11

- Fixed: freeze in the prison level, a rare texture crash, game timing on modern PCs

- Fixed: black heads and black patches on the wolf and the two agents (both modes), and the captain's head texture (Remastered)

- CD music played from OGG files, following Disc 1 / Disc 2 automatically

- Optional: opens three unfinished hidden rooms that were cut from the game

Installation

1. Extract the patch into an empty folder.

2. Insert or mount Disc 1 and run DreamsPatch.exe; it copies both discs, installs the game and applies the fixes.

3. Optional: rip the music tracks to OGG (see README.txt).

4. Play with "Play Dreams.bat".

No game files are included: the patcher checks and patches the files from your own discs and keeps a backup of every original. Made for the English 2-disc Windows release.
