Duke Nukem 3D - Game Mod - Imperium v.2011 - Download

Imperium is a mod for Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, created by Oostrum brothers.

Description (in authors’ own words)

The Imperium is an 8 level adventure with level design and music by the Oostrum brothers (a.k.a Maarten and Mrline), additional level design by William Gee, Numan and Kaiser (who also made some models for this), with CON coding and some other odds and ends by me. It uses DukePlus, including Muelsa's Supertrooper. Everything you need to play is included in the download, except of course for DUKE3D.GRP. The Imperium does work with the Polymer HRP -- there are a few glitches but it looks great that way overall. Just to be clear, though: The levels were not designed for Polymer and the HRP is completely optional. Some people will like it better without the HRP. Instructions and credits are included with the download.

Instructions:

HOW TO INSTALL AND PLAY THE IMPERIUM:

1. Unzip the Imperium2011 folder to a location of your choice.

2. Place an Atomic Edition version of DUKE3D.GRP in The Imperium2011 folder.

3. Launch the game using Imperium.bat If you are asked whether you want to import cfg data, answer YES. You will be given some choices about the renderer and window resolution. Do not select any of the 8-bit options, you want 32-bit graphics.

4. Setup the mouse and keyboard to your liking using the menus. If you have not used DukePlus before, note that there is an alt-fire function, and you probably want to map it to right mouse.

READ THIS IF YOU ARE USING THE HRP:

The Imperium episode does look good with the Duke 3D HRP (Hi-Res Pack), but be aware that the current version of the HRP is designed for use with the Polymer renderer, which has known performance issues. To use the HRP, put all of the HRP files into a folder named "autoload", then make sure that "enable autoload" and "Polymer" are checked in the EDuke32 startup window.
