I've replaced chief with a standard armored marine that should work for the entire campaign.

I've always been curious to see if a marine could handle himself if put in Chief's shoes. After many hours in ms paint and HCEEK, I finished my personal project and figured I'd upload this for others to enjoy as well! If you find anything wrong, or have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. Do keep in mind, this only works with classic graphics. With the compiler I've been using you won't be able to swap back to anniversary graphics at all.

This does work with a friend! Also if you're wondering, the marine appearance is random for the player. The Master Chief will still show up in most cutscenes and when it's not him, you will see a marine doing the t-pose. There's not much I can do about that so kindly ignore that hiccup!

Changes

The jumping height has been reduced from .07 to .05 to reflect the fact that marines can't jump as high as spartans.

Standing camera height has been reduced from .63 to .58 to reflect the shorter stature of a marine.

First Person hands are now marine hands instead of Chief's.

I've altered the blue colors on the HUD to be green with shields being brown. This is to reflect the green eye piece on marine helmets, and their brown armor.

Covenant weapons now have a purple color on the HUD when using them (minus the Needler. Nothing I can do to fix it, it's just how Halo works).

Your shields no longer fry infection forms. Instead, they will latch on to you and try to infect you. Just keep walking and they should fall off.

Shields will not make a recharge sound, but they will beep when damaged/low/empty (or no sound if you play without shields).

I've added places to jump when platforming on 343 Guilty Spark to progress through the level so you don't get stuck.

3rd Person Camera

Here is a mod that's been put together by Bubbawarhorse123 that contains a .dll file that enables 3rd person view.

If you want a third person camera, you MUST download the .dll file from there. Be sure to make a backup of your original .dll file before replacing it!

Your aiming will be a little off. I've noticed you will aim toward the bottom left of your reticle. I'd recommend not using the skull that disables auto aim, otherwise you will miss a lot of your shots. I understand warthogs will gain orange tires when you drive them as well. I'm not sure what's causing this, but it is related to the .dll file.

To install:

drop all of the .map files into your ..\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps folder.
