Mafia Airplane Mod is a mod for Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, created by GSTR and ASM.

Description:

It's the 1930s, the golden age of aviation and there are no airplanes that you can fly in this game. Except for that fact, I think its a beautiful game. This was a mod I wanted to make for a long time. Now the Airplane mod is a reality.

Note:

This mod does NOT work with the Mafia Community Modpack installed. It works on version 1.0 so you can downgrade your game here.

Installation:

1. Run 'Airplane mod v.1.exe'

2. Start the game by double clicking 'Airplane mod (MafiaCon.exe)' shortcut placed on the desktop during the installation.

Controls:

The mod works in freeride- City Small, City daytime & Countryside daytime.

For other missions 'dnc files' are provided which can be imported into any scene2.bin file using DCED

The mod contains one airplane, 1930s military trainer - Boeing Stearman PT-17.

It can be accessed in the game under the manufacturer 'Prototypes'.

Entering the airplane - To enter the airplane, stand by the left wing, when the action button icon appears, click the action button to enter.

Taking off - Find a straight stretch of road and accelerate to about 75mph, as you reach 75mph the airplane will take off. On the ground you can control the airplane like a normal car using the keys accelerate, brake, turn left, turn right

Controlling the airplane in flight - The default keys for controlling the airplane are the numpad keys

numpad 5 - pitch down

numpad 2 - pitch up

numpad 4 - roll left

numpad 6 - roll right

numpad 7 - yaw left

numpad 9 - yaw right

These are the regular controls on an aircraft, but in a real aircraft these controls are used simultaneously to turn. Doing the same with keys are difficult, so to simplify things and to make flying more fun and easy, these are two additional controls

numpad 1 - turn left

numpad 3 - turn right

If the airplane dips too much to the right when turning right (using numpad 3) you can compensate by rolling left ( numpad 4 ) and vice versa.

For laptop users or keyboards without numpads, this is the secondary configuration

k - pitch down

, - pitch up

j - roll left

l - roll right

u - yaw left

o - yaw right

m - turn left

. - turn right

Controlling speed of the aircraft - The speed of the aircraft can be controlled by using the accelerate and brake keys.

The normal cruising speed of this airplane is around 90mph.You can get higher speeds by pitching down (diving).

Be careful when climbing at steep angles or looping, keep an eye on the speedometer and keep the accelerator depressed. But when landing, remember to hit the brakes.
