RDR Terrain Textures Overhaul (standalone) is a mod for Red Dead Redemption, created by Nigeez.

Description:

The project improves terrain textures. The new ones have more detail and higher resolution, but retain the style of the originals, so they match the rest of the visuals.

The textures are not created by AI or scaled up. Instead, they are all new. Color and normal maps have a resolution of 2048px. Roads have a resolution of 4096px. By comparison, the original textures are 256px to 1024px, so the jump in quality is huge.

Instructions:

Extract the archive with the mod. Copy the obtained mapres.rpf file to “...Red Dead Redemption\game” and expressly agree to replace the file.

Note: this mod will replace all other textures. If this is the only mod with textures then there is no problem, but if you want to have several mods replacing textures installed at once then instead of this version of the mod install an alternative one called RDR Terrain Textures Overhaul (Manual), as it allows you to combine several projects of this type in one installation.
