Shenmue I & II - Game Mod - Forklift Mod Loader v.1.06 - Download

Forklift Mod Loader is a mod for Shenmue and Shenmue II, created by Wulinshu Team.

Description:

A DLL that replaces files inside a folder called "mods". Useful for texture modding, model replacements, and other basic mods.

Many Shenmue and Shenmue II require this project.

Instructions:

To use this loader, you need to inject the DLL.

Simply extract both DLLs in the zip archive to your Shenmue folder. The xinput DLL is a proxy DLL that loads Forklift. Forklift will load every time afterwards thanks to that proxy DLL.

Modding Usage

To use this to mod the game, create a folder called "mods" inside the Shenmue directory. Add all files with the correct filenames and the correct file structures. You can look at https://wulinshu.raymonf.me for some filenames and hashes.

Compatibility

The hook has addresses for Shenmue 1 and 2, versions 1.00 (launch version) to 1.02 (latest beta as of 2018/9/4). However, most of them have not been tested extensively.

Server Details (Pseudo-telemetry)

Since we're trying to crowdsource hashes and paths, we have decided to integrate the "Wulinshu hook".

The server will receive:

The game you're playing (sm1 or sm2)

A list of game file paths and hashes

Your IP address

If I'm doing my job correctly, your IP address should never be exposed. It is used to create the "matches" column, which tells us how many players have accessed 1 file. This helps us validate the legitimacy of a crowdsourced path.

If you don't like this, let us know by replying and we'll consider releasing a version without this. Just remember that crowdsourcing is vital to the health of the modding community.
