Star Wars: Battlefront - Anniversary Edition is a mod for Star Wars: Battlefront (the one from 2004 roku), created by gistech.

Description:

The purpose of the mod is to generally improve the game and expand its content. It improves graphics, adds new effects and introduces several new gameplay mechanics. The mod also brings into production most of the maps from the sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront II, released in 2005.

Changes were also made to the gameplay, most notably the class system. The different character types have become much more diverse in terms of weapons and equipment, which has also strongly increased the diversity of all factions.

Created to celebrate 20 years of the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, this mod spans both eras and encompasses all 17 maps of the original Star Wars: Battlefront as well as most maps brought over from Star Wars: Battlefront II. You will get to play with new weapons inspired by the legacy of the entire franchise, such as the Shotgun, T-21 and A280C. Play your favourite battles from the original game in a new way: no two factions play the same.

1. Choose your side and unit: each faction has uniquely-equipped units.
2. Content inspired by the cancelled Star Wars: Battlefront III and DICE's Star Wars Battlefront games.
3. Many new and reinvented weapons, such as the A280C, EMP Launcher, MPL and Homing Shot.

Please note that, owing to compatibility issues regarding LUA and the manner in which addons are handled, the Star Wars: Battlefront - Classic Collection version cannot be used to play this mod. This mod is compatible only with CD/DVD, Steam and GOG versions of Star Wars: Battlefront.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Extract all files.

###IMPORTANT: Backup the original Data/_LVL_PC folder and the addon/Tat3 folder###

Before you begin, please remove Tat3 from your Addon folder as this mod comes with its own version.

Copy everything in this folder into your "Star Wars Battlefront/GameData" folder. If you are asked to replace files, click "Yes" or "OK" (or, in Vista onwards "Copy and Replace").

CLASSES

The class system has been adapted to loosely fit the same types as the original game but with more diverse layouts.

SOLDIER CLASS:

-Clone Trooper (Republic): DC-15A Blaster Rifle, DC-16 Shotgun, Thermal Detonators

-Super Battle Droid (CIS): Wrist Blaster, Tri-Shot, Wrist Rocket

-Rebel Soldier (Rebels): A280C Blaster Rifle, CR-2 Blaster Cannon, Thermal Detonators

-Stormtrooper (Empire): E-11 Blaster Rifle, Imperial Blast Cannon, Thermal Detonators

Hint: A good all-rounder with decent options for long-range and close-range combat.

NOTE: In the campaign, for the Naboo missions, the Super Battle Droid is replaced with the Battle Droid, which has an E-5 Blaster Rifle, E-5 Shotgun, and Thermal Detonators.

ASSAULT CLASS:

-ARC Trooper (Republic): DC-15 Blaster Rifle, PLX-1 Protable Missile Launcher, Concussion Grenades, Proximity Bombs

-Assault Droid (CIS): E-5C Heavy Blaster Rifle, E-60R Missile Launcher, Concussion Grenades, Proximity Bombs

-Rebel Vanguard (Rebels): RT-97C Heavy Blaster Rifle, HH-15 Projectile Launcher, Concussion Grenades, Proximity Bombs

-Shocktrooper (Empire): DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle, Minimag PTL Missile Launcher, Concussion Grenades, Proximity Bombs

Hint: The Assault Class packs a punch with rapid-fire weaponry and topredo launchers, and has more health than the Soldier class, but this comes at the cost of speed

ENGINEER CLASS:

-Clone Pilot (Republic): DC-17 Blaster Pistol, Fusion Cutter, Health/Ammo Dispenser, Time Bomb

-Droid Pilot (CIS): RG-4D Blaster Pistol, Fusion Cutter, Health/Ammo Dispenser, Time Bomb

-Rebel Pilot (Rebels): DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol, Fusion Cutter, Health/Ammo Dispenser, Time Bomb

-Imperial Pilot (Empire): SE-14C Blaster Pistol, Fusion Cutter, Health/Ammo Dispenser, Time Bomb

Hint: While not well-armed, pilots are more than capable of defending themselves. Use the Health/Ammo dispensers to keep your team topped up.

SNIPER CLASS:

-Clone Sharpshooter (Republic): Valken-38X Longlbaster, EE-4 Blaster Carbine, Impact Grenades, Recon Droid

-Droid Assassin (CIS): E-5S Sniper Rifle, EE-4 Blaster Carbine, Impact Grenades, Recon Droid

-Rebel Marksman (Rebels): A180 Sniper Configuration, EE-4 Blaster Carbine, Impact Grenades, Recon Droid

-Scout Trooper (Empire): DLT-20A Laser Rifle, EE-4 Blaster Carbine, Impact Grenades, Recon Droid

Hint: Snipers exchange long-range capabilities and faster movement for health.

SPECIAL CLASS

-Jet Trooper (Republic): DC-17 Commando Pistol, EMP Launcher, EMP Grenades, Jetpack

-Droideka (CIS): Twin Repeating Blasters, Shield Generator, Ball mode

-Wookie Smuggler (Rebels): Bowcaster, MPL-57 Barrage Launcher, Time Bombs, Thermal Imploder

-Dark Trooper (Empire): T-21 Heavy Blaster, MPL-57 Homing Shot, Seismic Grenade, Jump Pack

Hint: Each Special class has unique strengths and weaknesses. For instance, the Droideka has a shield generator and rapid fire, while the Jet Trooper's EMP grenades and EMP launcher are perfect for taking out Droideka shields.
