In AD 43, the Roman Army invaded Britain in the attempt to expand their empire. From then on for many, many years, the Roman Army would clash back and forth with the Celtic Britons.
In this era, the Romans were near their peak. They had a professional army that was incredibly disciplined, organized, well-trained, technologically advanced, and full of veteran soldiers and brilliant generals which allowed them to conquer much of their world even when outnumbered and faced with seemingly overwhelming odds.
On the other hand, the Celts, of whom the Romans viewed as barbarian, were not as well equipped or organized, and often charged into battle wearing little to no armor, relying on their physical prowess, individual glory, and superior numbers to defeat their enemies.
With this mod, you will witness the Roman Conquest of Britain invasion in the world of Skyrim. The Imperial Legion is now the Roman Legion and the Stormcloaks are now the Celtic Britons, fighting against the Roman Empire for their homeland.
As you wander through Skyrim, you will witness a string of bloody, unpredictable battles between the Romans and Celts thanks to the addition of hundreds of extra Civil War patrols which wander the entire map.
It is your choice whether you want sit back and watch, stop the invasion, or conquer Skyrim in the name of Rome.
Upon joining a civil war faction, you immediately can command a number of units which will help you eliminate your foes as you travel through Skyrim.
If you decide to conquer Skyrim in the name of Rome, you will boast the advantage in quality of troops over the Celts. However, you are likely to be outnumbered in battle and for every one Roman you come across, you will encounter three Celts.
There are over 3,000 Celts that are constantly roaming Skyrim, while there are just under 1,000 Roman soldiers that are roaming Skyrim's map. To give some context, Skyrim's base game has around 6,000 NPCs on the map, which means you will see a lot of Romans and Celts throughout this game, and it will actually feel like there is a war going on in Skyrim.
These NPCs are split up into patrols made up of anywhere from 5-28 men, and are spread out all around Skyrim to ensure that there is never too many NPCs in a loaded area to cause performance drop, while also giving the impression that there is a large war going on where a string of decently sized battles may happen at any moment.
These patrols travel either on pre-determined routes along main roads and in the wilderness that span multiple holds (friendly and/or enemy), or they may randomly travel in-between key objectives such as forts, military camps, towns, cities, etc. adding to the immersive and unpredictable war experience.

Install with Nexus Mod Manager or extract into game’s Data folder manually and activate in launcher
