Faster Research is a mod for The Riftbreaker, created by BrewBreuw.

Description:

Increases the research speed of communications hubs and laboratories. Increases energy requirement for comm hubs by 50%.

Communications hub:

1. Communications hub level 1 research speed increased from 1 to 1.5. Energy needed increased from 50 to 75.
2. Communications hub level 2 research speed increased from 2 to 3. Energy needed increased from 100 to 150.
3. Communications hub level 3 research speed increased from 3 to 4. Energy needed increased from 200 to 300.
4. Communications hub level 4 research speed increased from 4 to 5. Energy needed increased from 400 to 600.
5. Communications hub level 5 research speed increased from 5 to 7. Energy needed increased from 800 to 1200. (For comparison, laboratory level 5 requires 4000 energy)

Laboratory:

1. Laboratory level 1 research speed increased from 1 to 1.5.
2. Laboratory level 2 research speed increased from 2 to 3.
3. Laboratory level 3 research speed increased from 3 to 4.
4. Laboratory level 4 research speed increased from 4 to 5.
5. Laboratory level 5 research speed increased from 5 to 7.

Instructions:

To install on Steam, go to your Riftbreaker packs folder (default location: C:\Program Files

(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Riftbreaker\packs) and put the .zip file into it.

Do not unzip the file.

If you’re playing the Game Pass version then put the zip file into ”…Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\TheRiftbreaker\packs”

Does not require a new game to work, however, any existing buildings will use unmodded values. Delete and rebuild them for the mod to take effect.
