Boat Races is a mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, created by MerseyRockoff i glassfish777

Description:

The mod restores the original CDPR's idea of Boat Races. They were planned during the development of the game, but cut from the final version. With the release of REDkit, 100% of the boat race script was found in the game files, which allowed for the restoration process to begin. Only the text and audio files were found, the rest was created from scratch based on CDPR's writing and careful examining of the files. Which means that all the conversations, characters, notices and journal entries featured in the mod were originally written by CDPR, but re-created and brought to life by modders using REDkit.

The mod is fully translated in all 17 languages and includes full audio dubbing from original voice actors for English, Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Polish and Russian localizations. No AI is used in this mod.

This mod is for the Next-Gen version of the game.

There are 4 races (Regattas) in the game now:

1. Novigrad Regatta - Start from the Novigrad Harbor notice board.
2. Oxenfurt Regatta - Start from the Oxenfurt notice board.
3. Helmsman's Dash - Start from the Kaer Trolde village notice board.
4. Rally of the Wrecks - Start from Holmstein's notice board, but the races take place on Faroe.

You can also go directly to the start location skipping the notice boards if you know where they are and speak with the race master/mistress.

How to install the mod:

1. Extract the archive amd copy modBoatRaces folder to your The Witcher 3\mods folder.
2. Copy dlcBoatRaces folder to your The Witcher 3\dlc folder.
3. Check for conflicts with Script Merger?. Merge if necessary.

How to uninstall:

Delete modBoatRaces folder.

Delete dlcBoatRaces folder.

Please don't uninstall the mod while in the middle of one of the new quests.
