Dread Hunger: Cannibalism - what are the consequences?
This page of the Dread Hunger guide explains the effects of cannibalism.
Last update:
On this page of the guide, you will learn about the effects of eating human flesh while playing Dread Hunger.
In Dread Hunger, you need to provide your characters with food in the form of various meals, such as raw or cooked meat, in order to survive. In Dread Hunger, in addition to animal meat, you can also obtain human meat.

If you are playing as one of the Explorers and not a Thrall, you should avoid eating human flesh at all costs, as you will then become cannibals. Once you get the cannibal status, any non-human meat will have less effect on you and your character will be more likely to starve.

After you eat human flesh, the normal hunger meter icon will be replaced by a hand icon to symbolize that your Dread Hunger character has become a cannibal.
