Maybe Cavill’s appearance doesn’t really fit the image of Geralt, but the actor makes up for that with sheer passion and dedication – he is a big fan of the universe and even before receiving this role, he spoke in superlatives about the work of Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt RED’s video games.

Who's going to play Yennefer?

Ana Chalotra, a 21-year-old actress from Wolverhampton, England, will play the part of Yennefer from Vengerberg. Chalotra debuted in 2018 in a six-episode BBC Wanderlust comedy drama. In 2018 there was also a miniseries by BBC called The ABC Murders based on the famous crime story written by Agatha Christie, in which Chalotra played a minor role.

Who's playing Ciri?

Ciri will be played by Freya Allan. The 17-year-old British actress has played an episodic role in the series Into the Badlands: Land of Lawlessness and in the short films Captain Fierce, Christmas Tree and Bluebird. Soon we will see her in another adaptation of the cult novel – War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.

Polish actors in the show?

At least one of the castings for The Witcher series took place in Poland and its effects, although modest, can be seen in the cast. On the screen we will see Maciej Musial playing Sir Lazlo, a completely new character invented for the purposes of the series.

In addition, Michal Zebrowski, who played the role of Geralt in the Polish 2001 film and TV series (which remains the original classic, and no matter what Netflix will pull off, they just cannot better that masterpiece), revealed that he had the opportunity to appear in the new Witcher, but squandered the chance by forgetting to send a voice sample with an English reading on time.
