Far Cry New Dawn: Under Siege Walkthrough

The following page describes the Under Siege story mission in Far Cry: New Dawn. The quest begins in Prosperity, to be more precise, right after you finish the Upgrade Prosperity mission and reach the end of the conversation with Thomas Rush. During the mission, you will have to fight off the enemy forces that are attacking your base.

Reach the scout

Your first mission objective will be to reach a scout located a few hundred meters from Prosperity. Follow the mission indicator - you can use a vehicle to get there faster. When you get there, the attack on Prosperity will begin - quickly return to your base. Along the way you will probably encounter some enemies, so be ready to fight. A large group of foes will be stationed at the entrance to Prosperity - you will have to meet them head-on in order to get inside.

Defend Prosperity

The defence of Prosperity will be a fairly long fight, in which you will have to repel subsequent waves of enemies. There is no one way to complete the mission, but during the battle, it is worth keeping the following tips in mind:

1. In the beginning, it is worth occupying a position on the walls of Prosperity. From here you will have a good view of the incoming enemies. Utilize every weapon in your arsenal. Use a sniper rifle to knock out the enemy snipers in the forest, a rifle to take down the enemies that are climbing the walls, and destroy any incoming vehicles with a rocket launcher. You will find ammo dispensers on the walls, so you do not have to worry about conserving rounds.
2. Try to help out your allies. They will often fall to the ground unconscious, so if you have the opportunity, run to them and help them get back on their feet. Your allies can kill quite a few enemies, so it is worth keeping them alive.
3. At some point, the enemies will break through the outer defences, and invade Prosperity. When that happens, get off the walls and stand in front of the main headquarters. The opponents will try to set explosive charges - if you see a message about a bomb that has already been planted, proceed to the marked location immediately and disarm the explosive. If a bomb explodes, the mission will result in failure.

After killing the last enemy, you will see a brief cut-scene, and the Under Siege mission will be successfully completed.
