Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Battlefield: Bad Company

The game approaches the subject with a pinch of salt and its graphic design is maintained in a cartoon style.
Darksiders

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)

A sequel to the 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the sixth major entry in the Call of Duty franchise. It was developed by Infinity Ward, a subsidiary of Activision. The players witness the continuing struggle against Russian ultranationalists whose actions resulted in a war against the United States. Similarly to the previous game, the story campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is linear and the numerous in-game events follow a predetermined course.

As one can assume, the road will be filled with traps and enemies.

Half-Life: Counter-Strike

Multiplayer modification of the cult Half-Life, prepared by the creators of the original from Valve Software studio. The game is a tactical FPP shooter, in which two teams face each other, representing terrorists and specialized anti-terrorist units. Each team has at their disposal a dedicated arsenal of weapons, which were prepared on the basis of original equipment of special forces from different countries (like Navy Seals, GSG9, GIGN or SAS).
Doom Collector's Edition

Collector's edition of one of the most famous FPS shooter series, started in 1993 by id Software studio led by John Carmack and John Romero. Each part of the series focuses on the protagonist's struggle with hordes of hellish creatures which, as a result of experiments conducted in a secret Martian base, got through a space-time portal to our dimension.

Shadow Warrior (1997)

It utilizes the same engine as its predecessor and features similar gameplay mechanics, but has a different atmosphere and setting. You play as a Japanese master assassin, a member of the Shadow Warriors clan. Betrayed by his employer, who's trying to conquer Japan, Lo Wang has to fight with the overwhelming forces of the enemy.
Delta Force 2

Continuation of the popular tactical shooting studio Novalogic. Again, we play the role of the title soldier of the United States' special army unit. The authors prepared 40 new missions and significantly improved the graphic design. The game can be played solo or in multiplayer mode. The gameplay is additionally extended by an extensive level editor.
Killzone HD

Refreshed for PlayStation 3 users edition of the cult FPS shooter Killzone, which debuted in 2004 on Sony's second generation consoles. The game's story takes us to the future and tells of a vicious conflict between two human factions: the peaceful ISA forces and the fascist Helghast regime, whose physiology has been irreversibly altered by years of exposure to a poisonous atmosphere.

The player controls a bandit, who, provided there is a payoff, undertakes a number of risky jobs. Depending on the mission conditions, the hero can be either forced to avoid a direct confrontation, or brutally eliminate all enemies.

We play as a soldier who, along with his company, has to take over an enemy base, and at the same time protect his own from being taken over. Maps on which the game takes place are around one square kilometer big. There are up to fourteen camps, divided between a couple of factions, on each of them.
Prince of Persia Trilogy
