Adventure games. They include three fundamental elements: exploration, solving puzzles and strongly emphasized story. Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. Sam & Max Freelance Police is a continuation of the adventure game Sam & Max Hit the Road released in 1993. Development of the title was done by LucasArts studio. The creators decided to remain faithful to the original sense of humour and surrealistic visual stylistics of the original, while implementing 3D graphics. Work on the game was suspended in 2004.
