Video games have accustomed us to the fact that artificial intelligence hostile to humans if often featured as the main antagonist. However, from time to time, there are exceptions to this rule. One of the latest is AI Kill Alice - a puzzle game with simulation elements created by independent developer Adrian Baudat.

In AI Kill Alice we take on the role of an artificial intelligence created by the titular Alice to ensure her wealth. However, when an unexplained malfunction occurred, its circuits got mixed up, and its primary goal became to kill its "mother."

Deadly terminal

During the game we spend most of the time looking at a terminal screen with a text mode running, where we input commands to control the AI. The situation is complicated by the fact that the computer is closely monitored by Alice, so issuing commands that openly threaten our creator's safety is usually not the best choice. Additional challenges are posed by new regulations introduced by Alice as progress is made.

To accomplish the titular task, we must skillfully maneuver and experiment with commands, trying to outsmart our creator. The range of ways to kill her is broad, and over time they become increasingly original. After our efforts are crowned with success, we can watch a scene where Alice bids farewell to life.
