Ancient Taxi is a simple arcade game by the development team of Alawar Entertainment. The player plays the role of the pilot of a prehistoric air taxi, and his task is to transport passengers between different corners of the labyrinth of caves.
Ancient Taxi is the work of the Russian company Alawar Entertainment, specializing in productions for the mass audience from the so-called casual market (occasional players). This time the developers were tempted to prepare a simple arcade game with two-dimensional graphics and addictive gameplay.
Ancient Taxi Action was set in the Stone Age. The player takes on the role of a daredevil who pilot a human-powered muscle, built from branches and palm leaves of a helicopter. The protagonist provides taxi services, transporting passengers between prehistoric houses built in the interior of a multi-level cave system.
The game is not complicated. The player controls a small helicopter and, trying to avoid contact with obstacles (rocks, water, dinosaurs, etc.), has to transport as many passengers as possible in the shortest possible time. The money earned thanks to this allows to modernize the helicopter.
The game offers three variants of fun. Kid is a mode for the youngest players with no penalties for collisions with the environment. Arcade type gameplay is focused on speed and dexterity in operating a helicopter. In the most demanding option - Classic - it is possible to break up the helicopter and kill the passengers carried.
Ancient Taxi is characterized by simplicity of audiovisual setting. Two-dimensional graphics are maintained in cartoon style with a lot of humorous accents and animations.
