BIONITE: Origins is a reinvented genre -- eFPS, extended FPS. A hovertank video game created by hybridizing two different genres: First-Person Shooting & Real-Time Strategy.
We’re reinventing the FPS/RTS genre and creating a new sort of experience in the gaming world. the concept is to re-introduce the FPS/RTS genre in a more simplified & refined fashion to reach out to a wider audience, while still staying true to the hardcore FPS/RTS gamers.
To do this, we have to maintain a perfect balance of first-person shooting with a simplified real-time strategy HUD, so that any gamer can pick this game up and not have as much of a learning curve as previous illustrations in this genre.
BIONITE: Origins will be released on Steam for the PC, but the possibilities could be endless with this game on other platforms -- if taken advantage of certain technologies too.
The Story:
The concept of Bionite is based upon an element not found upon earth, but only on other planets and moons of our galaxy. It’s very rare -- only found in the deep areas of planets and large moons. Bionite must be mined out of the ground using space mining and drilling equipment. Bionite also has an internal memory. Once humans utilize it, they use the internal memory to allow the metal to morph itself into predefined forms (aka: different buildings/units). It also has the ability to self-heal slowly, but only to a certain degree. The Interplanetary Mining Industry or the 'I.M.I.' is the earth based company that owns all the assets used in Bionite Mining.
