A sequel to the well-received combination of a platformer and a puzzle game. Biped 2 introduces a cooperative mode for up to four players; however, it can also be played solo. There is also the ability to control not only the legs but also the arms of our robot protagonists.
In 2020, the team at NEXT Studios and the META Publishing company delivered a production that straddles the line between puzzle games and platformers, titled Biped. The adventures of the two charming robots were successful enough to warrant a sequel, which is the Biped 2 described here.
In Biped 2 events are viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the game we take on the roles of the two robots known from the original - Aku and Sila. They embark on a journey across the galaxy to respond to SOS signals emanating from it.
The adventure takes the protagonists through various locations, during which they meet colorful characters, including a new species of elementals. Along the way, our characters face a series of challenges that test not only their electronic equivalents of gray matter but also their dexterity, reflexes, and motor coordination.
Similar to the first installment of the series, moving through locations requires us to separately control the limbs of our robot and slide on surfaces that allow it. The developers have expanded these mechanics, allowing us to control the protagonists' hands at selected moments. This enables us to glide on hang gliders and climb using a grappling hook.
Biped 2 can be played either solo or in multiplayer mode - on a shared screen or over the Internet. We can enjoy cooperative mode for two people (where success is ensured by synchronized actions and close cooperation) or choose a mode for 4 players (where two additional participants take control of the debuting robots in the series, Mimo and Azul). To stand out in the group, we can make use of various hats and other cosmetic items.
The graphics of Biped 2 are maintained in a colorful low poly style (based on a relatively small number of polygons), known from the first part of the series.

Game Ratings for Biped 2 Video Game.
PlayStation LifeStyle: 7 / 10 by Tyler Treese
Biped 2 can be fun to play with friends, but you really have to be committed to get through the more difficult levels. Featuring solo and four-player modes, there are more ways to enjoy the action than ever before, with each feeling like a unique experience.
Video Chums: 7.9 / 10 by A.J. Maciejewski
Biped 2 continues the trend of offering top-notch co-op puzzle platforming fun that its delightfully unexpected predecessor provided in spades. With its funky fresh feeling of constant variety and consistently lovely sights and sounds, it's certainly worth checking out. ??
DualShockers: 3.5 / 10 by Ethan Krieger
If you've played the original Biped, you've played Biped 2, and I truly mean that. This is sadly one of the lowest effort sequels I've ever encountered, down to even the game's Tutorial being a direct copy/paste from the OG. There are numerous examples of blatant and unabashed rip-offs consistently throughout the experience, to the point that it feels like self-plagiarism.
