Blood West: Dead Man's Promise is an expansion to the 2023 immersive sim with horror and western elements, titled Blood West. The add-on was developed by the Polish studio Hyperstrange, which also created the base version of the game.

Story

The main character of Blood West: Dead Man's Promise is Father Twen. The protagonist is faced with the necessity of repaying his debt to the God of Death, and it's up to us to help him bring all the lost souls to his patron.

It's worth noting that although we had the opportunity to meet the main character of the add-on in the base game, its completion is not required to understand the story told here. Nevertheless, the creators recommend at least finishing the second chapter of the main campaign.

Conclusion

    Summary

    • Overall, while Blood West: Dead Man’s Promise has been well-received by fans of the original game for its more of the same approach, it has also faced criticism for its brevity, map design, and balance issues. Players recommend it primarily for those who enjoyed the base game but suggest waiting for a sale due to its high price relative to content.
